This was a very light, sweet read. It was a little drawn out at times, but over all, a feel good romance with hot sexy scenes, an easy to follow plot and little hearts and flowers. The only thing that bugged me is the way they kept their relationship secret for so long. I thought that it was over done and caused way more problems than if they just would have come out. I didn't care for the reactions some of the family members gave either. It didn't make sense for the brother to be so protective and not understand why the sister or his friend would keep it from him. I mean - duh! - you go crazy on anyone that gets close to her! Jeez...LOL, okay rant over. So like I said, sweet and fun - just a little OTT with the discretion the two kept.

5 PLUS Amazing, Sweet, and Oh So VERY SEXY Stars.......Did I mention how sexy, oh yes, it most certainly was!!!!!!!!
Oh yes, I finished this beauty of a book today and LOVED every single second of reading it!!!! I kid you not, this book was just that amazing of a read for me!
OK, so let me say that the moment I started this book, I was totally and completely HOOKED. The storyline was fantastic, flowed seamlessly and kept my interest from start to finish!!!!!!! My sis recommended this book to me and ironically I had just seen it on FB so since I was looking for a "lighter" read I thought ok, let me give it a try and oh boy I am so damn glad I did.
This book was exactly what I was looking for in that it was light, sweet, fun, extremely well-written, low on drama/angst and yet when I say hot as hell, YEP, you read that correct.....HOT and SEXY as hell!!!!!! I felt like I truly knew this entire group... The storyline was written so well and so believable that I felt like I had known this family/group of characters for years.
Let me touch on Avery, the h of the story.... oh my, girl crush going on right here, yep she was awesome!!!!! She had a little girl Brooklyn who was by far one the sweetest and most adorable little kids that I have ever read about, I LOVED that little "Bean"...... Now onto the H of the story, what can I say but oh yes, I am in total utter love/lust with Maddox.... I mean this guy, this hunkalicious, swoon-worthy, sex on a stick was just AMAZING and hot, sweet, feisty and oh my, yep, totally fanning myself right now, he was THAT awesome.... He was in one word.......PERFECT!!!!!!!!!
Congrats Lacey Black, I am a fan and I am hooked on this series..... I cannot wait to read more) Home Run for me!!!!!!!!

Trust Me is the debut novel from Lacey Black and after reading it, I’ve added the next two books in this series to my TBR list.
At the young age of 22, Avery is a single mother to her 3yo daughter, Brooklyn. Her ex-boyfriend, Drake, dumped her at hearing she was pregnant and has never acknowledged that Brooklyn is his daughter. Luckily for Avery, her parents and her four older brothers banded together to help raise her beautiful baby girl.
Maddox doesn’t date or do relationships. He picks up women, heads over to their place for some good times and leaves as soon as he’s done. To Maddox, Avery is off limits. Not only is she 10 years younger than him, but she’s also his best friend, Jake’s, little sister. He’s always been very protective of her, but lately that protective instinct has evolved into something more. Something possessive. Something that has him thinking to the future and what might be.
But a bitter ex threatens their relationship, the situation made worse when their secret relationship is discovered by Jake.
As I mentioned above, this is Lacey’s debut novel. I’m always pleasantly surprised when I finish a book, and only when I’m about to review it do I find out that it was a debut novel. This tells me that not only does the writer have great talent, but their support team does an amazing job as well.
This story was well written and it flowed very nicely. The relationship between Avery and Maddox is scorching hot and beautifully sweet. You can see that he cares very deeply for not just Avery, but Brooklyn as well. In fact, I think it’s his interactions with Brooklyn that melted my heart the most. The supporting characters are also amazing. Avery’s best friend Holly is a riot and I hope she’s able to snag one of the Stevens brothers. And Avery’s family is what you wish every family could be like loving, funny, supportive and loyal.
This book was okay. The idea was good, but the climactic moment for the H and h and their relationship was just really dramatic, and given the situation and evidence the h was presented with plus her previous experience, I thought the H's reaction was really douchey. The writing was adequate and the story was heartwarming, I really enjoyed the incorporation of the h's daughter, but it just fell flat overall. The characters didn't have much depth even though their life stories would indicate otherwise. It really just felt like guy and girl are attracted to each other, they go on obligatory two dates, have sex, and then are in love. It's known that when people spend that much time together they will bond and fall in love, but the author doesn't really show that. We don't see a deeper conversation. We don't see that connection form. I also don't enjoy shaming other women to make the h feel better about herself. Example *SPOILER* They went to a restaurant, hostess flirted with H, H then publicly shamed her calling her slutty or tacky and whatever so that jealous h would feel superior. If that happened in real life that would really turn me off. Super major douche move.
