I really thought I was going to make through this entire book without crying and then I got to chapter 40 in book 1 (Mia)....the tears flowed until I started chapter 1 in book 2(Schooner). I DID NOT see what came coming!! It hit me like a ton of bricks. I'm talking chest heaving, can't catch my breath sobs!We are treated to a deeper picture of Mia in the first 45 chapters of this book. She is jacked y'all! There were moments when I gasped and moments when I shook my head at her. I felt for her. I understood why she was doing what she was doing. Pain will make a person do some effed up stuff and Mia was in over her head in pain. Luckily for her, she had some good friends to hold her up when she couldn't stand on her own.
I loved her friendship with Rob Ryan. He stood by her, watched over her, and comforted her when she needed him. With no judgments. Seth (Princess)...I loved how he told it to her straight. There was no sugar coating with him. I love "BBC!"
Schooner's portion of the book is short. I wish there was more from what it was like to move on without Mia.
The end left my mouth agape and I sure hope when Julie says "til we meet again," it is sooner than later!! This is a must read. You'll need tissues...you've been warned.

Moore to Lose Needing Moore Series Volume 2 Julie A Richman 9781492769330 Books Reviews
Moore to Lose is actually Mia’s story of the intervening years and what happened to her. When I read a few of the reviews, I almost skipped to the third book, but I am so glad I did not.
I found Mia’s character growth incredible. The pain she feels is raw and this one had me weeping several times and I do not mean just wiping a few tears away, no tears rolling down my face. I do not want to give anything away, but the part of the book that takes place on 9/11 so gut-wrenching, and would have totally missed out on it if I had listened to those reviewers.
I strongly recommend you do not listen to them, but continue on this amazing journey with Schooner and Mia. Happy reading!
Mia and Schooner's story got to me on several levels. The span of their story, the period, and the significance of the times. In this book we got Mia's story, what she went through. It started with the present. We know she is alright after her fall and that she didn't lose the baby. Then it went back to what happened 24 years prior. Even though I don't much like stories that go to the past, like I just want the here and now, but this was classy. My heart breaks for this young girl who was a victim of rape at a very young age, then lost her boyfriend because she thought he did not keep her secret. She did rise from the ashes of a heart break and the trauma of what happened to her.
I don't want to write about her love life (Tom the douche), but the way she lost Michael to 9/11 brought me to my knees. Jackie Kennedy was also mentioned, and she happened to be one of my favourite people (after her husband and son), who left us too soon. She got help at last to cope with her sexual assault. We also got to know from her POV, the reconnection with Schooner. That point in time. **sigh**
I love this story, and love the H and h. The plot was very tight, and the pace was brisk. I couldn't put it down. It is not all sex and 'smootchal', it's got substance and grits. Very emotional for me, because I can relate on so many levels. Thanks Julie Richman. Thank you again.

Wow where to start
Julie said to me that a lot of people would find this a hard book to read, because it makes you feel and not everyone likes that.
Well for me the true sign of a great author with amazing talent is one that can make you interact with the characters as if you personally know them, feel what they are feeling, get shocked when they are, happy when they are, frightened when they are, it is something that not authors can do, sure we can read the story, but to feel along with is, is nothing but talent, sure talent.
So Julie this is outstanding, what can I say........
I knew it would be great but this was better than that it was awesome.
Mia & Schooner although they are destined to be together, lifes hurdles just kept getting in the way for them, and this book, Moore To Lose, goes back in time to 24 years previous, and lets you have a glimpse at Mia's life after she thought that Schooner had left her a love less, and made to feel that he had only befriended her as a charity case.
Drugs, Drink,Men, Sex, Total Unemotional abandon, all the powerful emotions we would expect, with a woman tormented and out there to find love.
Feeling totally worthless Mia turns to addiction to cover the complete pain she is feeling, no holes barred for her, until one day she decides enough is enough and sets herself on the right way of life and puts everything she has got into becoming a successful woman of business.
Through great friends, and contacts she manages to secure a great company and associates and works her arse off to turn her life completely around 360 degrees...and then in comes Schooner.
He totally turns her world around, they have been through so much, and unfortunately the outcome of their relationship cannot be understood as Julie leaves us with an arse kicking cliff hanger which we will have to wait for the results.
This was a Kick Arse 5 stars from me, I loved it.
